FAQs
What is the difference between the coarse and fine grades of Pink Salt Coarse?
Only the grind. Coarse suits grinders, brining and finishing; fine dissolves quickly and suits everyday cooking and baking. The salt itself is identical.
Is Pink Salt Coarse iodised?
No. Natural rock salt is not iodised. If your household relies on iodised salt for dietary iodine, keep a separate iodised salt for that purpose.
Why is Pink Salt Coarse pink?
Trace minerals, principally iron oxide, in the rock. The colour varies naturally from pale to deep pink between batches and even between crystals.
Does Pink Salt Coarse contain anti-caking agent?
No. Nothing is added. It may clump slightly in humid weather, which is normal for an additive-free salt.
Can I use Pink Salt Coarse in a salt grinder?
The coarse grade, yes. The fine grade is already milled and will run straight through a grinder.
Does Pink Salt Coarse have a shelf life?
Salt does not spoil. It can absorb moisture and cake in humid weather, since there is no anti-caking agent in it - break it up with a dry spoon or keep a few grains of rice in the container.
What makes Pink Salt Coarse from Miller Stores different?
Nothing is added to it, including anti-caking agent. It is rock salt, cleaned and graded, which is why it may clump a little in humid weather.
What our customers say
Firstly, the welcome was so cool and unbiased — I didn't see anywhere oil and spices getting ready in front of us like here. You can see the oil getting prepared in front of you, which made it so comforting and reliable. The oil, spices and mirchi powder I bought were too good and tasty. Staff has great knowledge about the food sector.
They offer a great variety of fresh produce, cold-pressed oils, grains and eco-friendly products — all at fair prices. Clean store, timely delivery, and excellent product quality. Both Shashi and Kiran have demonstrated very friendly customer experience. Highly recommend their freshly made cold-pressed oils!
